  • Scene One: What happened?
  • OMG! I missed the goal! Everyone's going to hate me now because we lost.
  • Scene Two: Feelings
  •  I feel so bad that I let them team down! Ugh, what are they going to say to me?
  • Scene Three: Behaviour and Impact
  • Don't talk to me, leave me alone!
  • Mimi is playing a soccer game with her team and they are playing off in the finals. The score is 5:5 and there is 1 minute left of the game. Mimi is about to score but she merely misses the goal and her team ends up losing. 
  • Scene Four: Self - Awareness
  •  I shouldn't have said what I said, Ionly said it because I was angry with myself and sad.
  • I probably should head back so I can apologise for what I said.
  • Mimi immediately feels annoyed with herself because she missed the goal, and she starts to worry about what her teammates will think of her. She also feels sad that they lost the final so she starts to cry, crosses her arms and looks at the ground.
  • Scene Five: Regulation
  • You know what, it's alright that I missed the goal. It's just a game that is meant to be fun so it really doesn't matter.
  • Hey guys, I'm sorry for what I said. It was rude and not nice.
  • She is so sad and ashamed of herself that she shouts "Don't talk to me, leave me alone" and she runs off the pitch. Her behaviour makes the rest of her teammates more upset and they start to worry about Mimi. 
  • Scene Six: Repair Relationships
  • It's alright Mimi. What you said, wasn't the nicest but we knew you didn't mean to say what you said.
  • Away from her team, Mimi realises that what she said was mean and that her friends were just coming over to comfort her. She also realises that because she didn't regulate her emotions healthily, she acted out and said something that hurt others.
  • To calm herself down, Mimi tries to think of a strategy that can help her manage her emotions. She ends up thinking of two strategies. Trying to think more positively and accepting how she feels. Because she is thinking more positively and accepting her emotions, she starts to feel a whole lot better and she realizes that she can use these two strategies to help her not feel like this in the future.
  • Mimi ends up walking back to her teammates to apologise. She finds her teammates and says sorry and they forgive her, knowing that she only said what she said because she was angry and upset with herself. The problem was resolved and Mimi learnt that there are indeed ways that she can manage her emotions instead of letting them out onto other people.
  • Don't worry Mimi we forgive you!
