Mordred thinks love is the answer
Omg! Love is the answer!
Nyvene shows up to Mordred's fishermother's house and bares her the bad news that he is destined to kill king Arthur, and to avoid this fate he needs to move in to king Lothian's palace. Fishermother is of course upset, and confused. Mordred however seemed to be indifferent about it, and just went with Nyvene.
The bird lied to me

Feels rejected from new home, his on comfort is his dog Gull that Nyvene gave to him. Skipping forward, King Lothian dies and Mordred is relocated to King Arthur's castle where Mordred then finds out thats his actual father.
