  • Climax
  • Bill and Johnny went to go walk to the gas station on Halloween night to get candy since they think they’re too old to go trick-or-treating. This street never has that many cars, people, nor lights, so it’s always dark at this time. They only have $20 to spend so they plan on getting a big bag of candy.
  • Falling Action
  • They walk into the gas station and buy a big bag of candy for them to share. They walk back home and arrive within 20 minutes. They start hearing knocks at the door, so they answer even though their porch light is off and they don't get much trick-or-treaters a year. They open the door and see a man, who looked awfully creepy and quiet scary.
  • Resolution
  • The man says “Trick-or treat’” with a deep voice. Bill and Johnny knew that he was definitely too old to be trick-or-treating. He had a cloak on with the hood over his head. A real looking weapon weapon in his hand. This was a machete and it did have a blood stain on it.

  • Bill and Johnny gave him a handful of candy and he held out his pillowcase and Bill threw the candy in as fast as Bill could so he could shut the door already. The stranger asked for more as he held the machete closer to us. So we had threw more candy in the bag and he brought the machete even closer to us. At that point I was about to slam the door on this guy but as I was doing so he had dropped the bag and held the door open with his empty hand.
  • Bill and Johnny's dad said “Always check the little window on the door before opening the door. Before you let random strangers in, and something like this happens.” Ever since that that night Bill and Johnny always check the window before they open the door.
