These pea plants would be perfect to test and create my dihybrid, or two characteristic, species
I'm going to cross, or breed, this homozygous, the same DNA, yellow round pea with this homozygous green wrinkled pea.
The genotype, genes, for the yellow pea was RR, YY. The genotype for green pea was rr, yy. The results from the cross was a heterozygous, different DNA containig dominant and recessive genes, generation.
Woah! The round yellow allele, or genes, were dominant, they win, over the green recessive, not so common, allele.
The F2 plants produced 506 seeds, 315 were round and yellow, 32 were green and wrinkled for their phenotype, or physical appearance.
