Storyboard Text

  • "For now these hot days is the mad blood stirring... By my head, here comes a Capulet" (III.i.4-5)
  • "Romeo, the love I bear thee can afford No better term than this: thou art a villain." (III.i.24-25)
  • "Tybalt, the reason that I have to love thee Doth much excuse the appertaining rage To such a greeting. Villain am in I none, Therefore farewell. I see thou knowest me not. (III.i.26-29)
  • M: "Will you pluck your sword out of his pilcher by the ears? Make Haste, Lest mine be about your ears ere it be out." T: "I am for you" (III.i.43-45)
  • Mercutio and Benvolio are together in the Town Square the day after the Capulet Party.
  • Romeo arrives in the town square as well as Tybalt. Tybalt wants to fight but Romeo will not.
  • "Alive, in triumph, and Mercutio slain, Away to heaven respective lenity, and fire-ey'd fury be my conduct now!" (III.i.73-75)
  • Mercutio sticks up for Romeo jokingly challenges Tybalt to duel, Romeo does not want violence.
  • "Let Romeo hence in haste, Else, when he is found, that hour is his last. Bear hence this body, and attend our will. Mercy but murders, pardoning those that kill. (III.i.120-124)
  • Romeo gets in the way of the fight and Tybalt accidentally stabs Mercutio which led to Mercutio's death. 
  • "I am hurt, A plague o' both your houses. I am sped." (III.i.53)
  • Romeo is filled with anger after Mercutio's tragic death, so he gets revenge and takes Tybalt's life.
  • The Prince is angered of the deaths that have occurred on this morning so he gives Romeo the punishment of banishment from Verona.
