  • Propaganda and law restriction
  • Increase in technology and industries
  • Dropped Economy
  • WWI affected the US government because during and after the war the government changed the way they convinced people and started increasing their propaganda. The government also had a bigger restriction of civil rights. An example would be that the government took away the freedom from men by forcing them to join the army.
  • Women and jobs
  • The act of the US joining the war meant that more machinery had to be made. This caused the production and efficiency in the industries to increase, also causing an increase in employment. Since other countries  were also in the war, and had better machinery, the US had to increase their technology in order to win the war and not get defeated
  • Immigration in USA increased
  • The socialists got damaged for the war because when the war ended, the roaring 20's occurred, leading to the great depression and causing the economy to drop. This affected the socialist because it showed them that the US lives under the concept of Darwinism, and if the US did become socialists, everyone will be in ruins and in horrible living conditions, while suffering.
  • African Americans moved to the north
  • WWI allowed women to have the opportunity to go to work rather than being housewives. They sold war bonds, organized patriotic allies. They went to work as nurses, clerical workers and in war production jobs.
  • During WWI, the United States was admitting many immigrants into the country. Over the time period of 1900's and 1920's, there were more than 14 million immigrants in the USA.
  • WWI had a major effect on African Americans because in the north part of the United States such as Chigaco, Dertoit, Cleveland, etc. many African Americans stated moving there, reshaping black america and the nation as a whole. The north juxtaposted with the south because the North gave African Americans hope for a better life.
