Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Conflict
  • Can you believe that that happened?
  • Rising Action
  • That girl is such a loser!
  • Melinda lives in Massachusetts, and was a normal girl at school until she went to a party and called the police because something bad happened to her making her never talk.
  • Climax
  • That didn't actually happen. You've got to be lying.
  • The conflict is character vs character. Melinda wants to tell people what happened to her so they'll understand why she called the police but , she doesn't want to because it involves a popular kid and no one will probably believe her. This conflict is internal.
  • Falling Action
  • When the popular kids just stare at her for ruining the party, no one really talks to her and includes her, and teachers never really say anything to her except her principal.
  • Resolution
  • I'm so sorry that this happened to you.
  • You finally learn what happened to Melinda at the party. But when she tells someone she used to be friends with she thinks she's making it up and says that for attention.
  • Melinda still didn't talk after she told Rachelle and she didn't tell anyone what happened at the party that night and why she called the police. After that her only "friend" stops hanging out with her.
  • Melinda finally ends up telling someone what happened and she feels better about telling someone what happened to her.
