There once lived a Raven, he lived in a dark place. Why you ask, because of the great chief, he kept all the light to himself. If you didn't realize by now, the chief was a very self-centered chief. He didn't care if his village lived in the dark as long as he had the light for himself and only himself.
MUWAHH. I have the light to myself, no one can or will never take it away from me.
We shouldn't have to live like this anymore. I must do something
Little did she know, Raven turned himself into a seed and is in the lake water that she is drinking from right now. Later on this very girl becomes pregnant with Raven in her stomach.
Ugh. I am so thristy
9 months later, the daughter had her child (Raven). The grandson was all the chief ever wanted. As a result, anything the grandson wanted he received. Raven used this as his advantage.
They will never see it coming.
Raven would ask his "grandfather" for bags that had the stars, the moon, and the sun/light. Each time he received the bags he would let them go out the door and into the sky, creating the nighttime sky.
The last thing Raven asked for was the bag with the sun in it. That was all Raven ever wanted from the beginning and he finally got it. After he had the seed he turned himself back into a bird.
When Raven received the light he came across some fishers. He told them that he had the light and that he could give them all the light they needed to fish if they gave him fish to eat. They agreed. This went on until Raven grew tired of it and eventually let the light go for everyone so that there was light forever.
