Her name was Brooke. She was the most popular, richest, and the prettiest girl in school( she looked like a model), but like every one else she had a secret that only I and her family knew.
The reason I knew was because she told me when we where little. We became friends cause we where neighbors and still are today. But it was hard keeping a secret I knew would ruin her whole life.
This secret was getting tougher and tougher to keep. And as we got older Brooke drifted farther and farther away like a raft in the ocean. So I wasn't even sure I wanted to keep it anymore.
Then on my way to lunch, I swung by the bathroom and found Brooke sobbing on the dirty floor. She was dressed in old stained men's clothes. Which is extremely unusual cause she has always worn a designer dress and carried a Louis Vuitton purse.
When I got the courage, I gave her a huge hug and she spilled out. " You know how that Oakley guy leaned my dad money, well its gone he took every thing back the house and every thing and I'm poor and ugly." Then there where more tears.
That was the moment we bonded and had re-gained our friendship. That night she spent the night at my house. The next morning I let her borrow my clothes and my mother made breakfast then drove us to school. It was the best day of my life and I will never forget it. Sometimes when you focus on what you have you loose sight of the things around you.
