  • Chapter 5 - Power
  • What have I done?
  • Chapter 6-Power
  • Tell me about it George...
  • I'm sorry Lennie.
  • George is demanding the dead mouse from Lennie. This shows George's power over Lennie in their relationship, keeping them out of trouble. The theme for chapters one and two is, some people are power hungry while others have the power and choose to help others.
  • Lennie has broken Curley's wife's neck on accident. Even though Lennie has the mind of a 3 year old he still has the strength of a giant. The theme of chapters three and four is, live life like you never know when it could be your last day on it.
  • George has to shoot Lennie before Curley does anything worse to him. It took immense will power from George to kill Lennie in a way of protecting him. The theme of Chapter six is that not all power is raw strength but power in the heart and brain.
