  • Mandy has just found out that she did not get the lead role in the spring musical at her high school. She is devastated!
  • Mandy decides to go talk to her drama teacher, Ms. Rose, to question why she didn't get the role.
  • Ms. Rose uses effective listening skills with Mandy while she talks about how she is feeling after not getting picked to be the lead.
  • Mandy is using effective questioning skills, asking Ms. Rose if her audition could have been better and what she could have improved to get the part.
  • Mandy and Ms. Rose work together, in collaboration by giving their opinions and listening to each other, to figure out how Mandy can still have a big role in the play without being the lead.
  • Mandy leaves Ms. Rose's room feeling a lot better about her position in the play and promises herself to do the best she can.
