Macbeth meets with the three Witches demanding to know his future. The witches show him 3 apparitions, in hope to fill Macbeth with over-confidence. The first apparition appears, an Armed Head.
"Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and cauldron bubble"
"Macbeth, Macbeth, Macbeth! Beware Macduff! Beware the thane of Fife. Dismiss me. Enough."
Macbeth was eager to know more. Then appeared the second apparition, a Bloody Child"
"Be bloody, bold and resolute. Laugh to scorn The power of man, for none of women born Shall harm Macbeth.
"Then live, Macduff, what need i fear of thee?"
"What is this That rises to the issue of a king?"
Macbeth is filled with confidence. Why should he fear anyone if no one of woman born can harm him? But he was not expecting what came next...
"Macbeth shall never vanquished be until Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill Shall come against him."
Then appears, "A show of eight kings, the eighth king with a glass in his hand, and Banquo last."
"Thou art like the spirit of Banquo. Down!"
"A messenger is sent to inform Lady Macduff of her husbands wisdom and courage. . Lady Macduff has to explain this to her son that she thinks Macduff left out of fear, however two murders arrive to kill them both.
"He has killed me, mother. Run away, I pray you"
"What, you egg!"
"Your castle is surprised, your wife and babes Savagely slaughtered."
Macduff and Malcom are planning an attack on Macbeth as suspicions grow stronger. Reluctantly, Ross tells Macduff about the death of his family.
"Cure this deadly grief." "Macbeth Is ripe for the taking"
