Storyboard Text

  • I came to ask for your help because I have found out that my daughter smokes, and I don't know what to do?
  • Hello, so what has brought you in today?
  • First, you need to know that smoking can lead to substance abuse, which causes harmful and dangerous effects. This later on leads to addiction, which can be quite difficult to get out of.
  • The first thing you need to do is identify in which stage she's at and if she's reached to addiction you might want to consider taking her to a recovery center and letting her be in their as much time as she needs to recover.
  • How do i know if my daughter is addicted to smoking?
  • You must identify if she has passed through the stages of substance abuse which are: experimentation, regular use, tolerance & dependence and addiction
  • Well I know that she smokes...but i don't know how or why she started to smoke
  • The majority of teenagers experience peer pressure and that's what causes them to start smoking.
  • Experimentation can begin by social factors that include: Parents, friends, and social media.  One of these factors may have caused her to start smoking.
  • I am really worried, what can i do to stop her from doing it?
  • Well thank you very much for the information, I will try to identify what stage shes at and i will bring her in to talk to you
  • Your welcome, of course! Bring her in as soon as possible for we can help her get out of this problem
