When he got older, he was afraid that England's economy was in trouble, so, worried about his future as a Puritan, he went to the New World .

John Winthrop became the governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, a Puritan colony known as, "A City Upon A Hill."
On he boat to Massachusetts, John Winthrop gives a speech. The speech reminds the puritans that they live for God, with God and because of God.
John Winthrop was inexhaustible and worked tirelessly. He was continuously re-elected governor, and he maintained proper civic and social order.
With John Winthrop's undeniable leadership, the Puritan Colony grew, and indeed became the model for Puritan living; The life for God, with God, and because of God.
