Storyboard Text

  • Origin
  • Childhood Story
  • I'm so bored! There's nothing to do!
  • His Adventure Begins
  • Oh my! What is that?
  • I'm so bored, Da! I want to do something! This trip is so long!
  • Calm down, Son! We'll be there soon! Just don't get too close to the sun or to the water!
  • Dystractae came in to being when Athene, the goddess of wisdom, dreamt of having a child. She then woke up with a baby in her arms.
  • Dystractae Gets a Bad Idea
  • *sigh* Okay Dad . . .
  • Perhaps the most important story about Dystractae happened when he was a child.
  • The Swan . . .
  • Yay! He's actually having fun now!
  • One day, two people flew by . . . that's right! People! It's Daedalus and Icarus!
  • . . . Dive
  • Dysractae, being the god of Distractions and Daydreams, felt bad for Icarus. He wanted him to be happy.
  • I know! I'll turn into a swan, and play a game of chase with Icarus to make him happier.
  • Well, don't do anything stupid. I'm going to take a nap.
  • Dystractae turns himself into a swan, and flies towards the sun, zooming past Icarus.
  • Hey! A swan! I'm sure it won't matter if I just go a little higher up . . .
  • Icarus' wings melt due to the heat of the sun, and he falls to his death in the crashing waves below. I know you've heard this story before, but I'm sure you've never heard it from Dystractae's perspective.
  • AHHHHHHH!
  • No! Son!
  • Oh no! What have I done?
