Storyboard Text

  • Step 7
  • Geez...stop reading so many books and notice the desert!
  • I LOVE ALCHEMY!
  • Sorry...camels were not in the catalog.
  • Step 8
  • I LOVE YOU, FATIMA!
  • Coolio...just don't let me distract you from your destiny.
  • Step 9
  • This won't hurt...right?!?
  • As I travelled on the caravan to Egypt, I met and Englishman who was obsessed with a stunning science called alchemy, yet was too buried in his books to notice the desert around him. There were rumors of tribal wars that may pose danger to the caravan, so when we reached the Al-Fayoum oasis, our traveling was suspended.
  • Step 10
  • In the oasis, I fell in love with Fatima, the name of the prophet's daughter. I begin talking to her every day by the water well, and she says that she does not want to come in the way of me achieving my personal legend.
  • Step 11
  • Desert, wind, sun! I need your help! How do I turn into the wind?
  • New number...who dis?
  • One day I saw one hawk attack another, and I knew that it was the language of the world insinuating that a tribe was going to attack the oasis. I went to tell the chief, and they said that they'll be armed tomorrow, but I'll be killed if my message was a false alarm.
  • Step 12
  • ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I WAS JUST THERE!!!
  • I met the alchemist on the way back to my tent, who asks why I'm at the oasis and tells me to visit him the next day, considering that I'll be alive. The next day he helps me decide that I should leave my counsel position and come back for Fatima later, but that for now I should continue my journey to the pyramids. We rode off on horseback into the desert.
  • When we were only days away from the pyramids, a group of tribesmen captured us, but agreed with the alchemist that if in three days I could turn myself into the wind, then our lives would be spared. On the third day I communicated with the desert, wind, and sun, who did not know how to transform me, but eventually created a sandstorm that freed us from captivity.
  • The alchemist stoped at a coptic monastery where he turned led into gold with the philosopher's stone and gave me two pieces. He left me alone for the last part of my journey, where thieves attacked me as I dug in the sand by the pyramids. However, they made me realize that the treasure was under the sycamore tree in Spain, where I started my journey a whole year ago.
