  • Geometry Lesson Geometry is all over the classroom! Even in the smallest places. As you go about school today, point out the different shapes you see.  
  • Teacher:- Students do you realize  how much geometry is around us in our everyday lives?
  • Jake: I see your desk is shaped like a cube!  Sara: No Jake, the teachers desk is shaped like a rectangular prism!
  • Chris: Look Ms. Salinas, even the rug in our reading center is part of geometry. It has the shape of a square. 
  • John: I am noticing that the trash can by the door is shaped as a cylinder. 
  • Teacher: Students keep walking towards the cafeteria for lunch! Student: Our lockers are the shape of a rectangle! I am noticing geometry all around me now.
  • Sally: We are having pizza for lunch today, it is the shape of a triangle. Bryan: Even our milk carton is a 3D shape, it is called a rectangular prism.
  • Ms. Salinas: Awesome, students! You all have been mastering identifying the geometrical figures around here!
