  • "Two households, both alike in dignity, in fair Verona, where we lay our scene, from ancient grudge break to new mutiny, where civil blood makes civil hands unclean."
  • External Conflict
  • This is an example of external conflict for many reasons for example, it shows the man vs man conflict between the Montaugues and Capulets. It shows this when it says "where civil blood makes civil hands unclean this." This shows conflict because it shows how the two households fight and even kill each other.
  • Act 3 scene 1 shows the external conflict between Mercutio and Tybalt has challenged Romeo to a dual and Mercutio duals in his place. Tybalt stabs and kills Mercutio
  • My only love sprung from my only hate! To early seen unknown, and  known too late! Prodigious birth of love it is to me, That I must love a loathed enemy.
  • Internal Conflict Act 1, Scene 5
  • His name is Romeo, and a Montague, The only son of your great enemy.
  • In this scene is shows Juliet's internal conflict because she is in love with Romeo and she finds out that he is a Montaguge and he is an enemy of her family due to the clash of clans and she can never be with him.
  • MERCUTIO O calm, dishonourable, vile submission! Alla stoccata carries it away. Tybalt, you rat-catcher, will you walk?
  • Act 3 Scene 1- Shows externat conflict between Romeo and Tybolt. After finding realizing Mercutio is mortally wounded he kills Tybolt.
