  • Battle rages on
  • Athens didn't want to fight Sparta on land because they knew they would probably lose, so they hid in their city behind the city walls.
  • Sparta seeks help
  • Sir, our ports have been breached and we have lost control of them.
  • Very well, we must hide in our city walls again
  • While Athens was hiding inside their city walls an awful plague hit that killed about one fourth of their population, including their leader Pericles.
  • End of war
  • I hereby surrender and want peace now
  • Here that boys, we won!!!
  • The battle rages on for weeks and months and it is fairly even. Athens would win the sea battles and Sparta would win the land battles.

  • Sparta seeks help in order to help defeat the Athens navy and that's what they got. The Persians gave them money to build a bigger navy than Athens, so they could finally destroy them. They eventually took control of Athens port.
  • After 27 years of war the Spartans finally won. Many lives were lost, many crops and cities were destroyed, and most of everyone's economic power and military was lost. Democracy was in decline and a untied Greece was finally over
