  • Do you know the Jewish Holiday Rosh Hashanah.
  • I know a little bit about it but you can tell me more.
  • Rosh Hashanah happened the 7th mouth of the Jewish calendar.  Rosh Hashanah is on this day because God commanded it to be that day.
  • Rosh Hashanah is New Year for Jews.  It is commended by god to be on that day.
  • They also celebrate this because they rejoice that god made the earth.  They love him and that is why they give thanks to him.
  • On this day they are not allowed to work or us electricity.   This is a day of rest so they can not really do anything.
  • They eat so many different foods like apples, honey, pomegranates,and lots of fish.
  • They also like to go apple picking with family. They also go to a nearby body of water and ask for forgiveness of all there sins.
  • They make honey dishes out of apples.  They also go to the temple to worship with friends and family.
  • I hope you now know more about Rosh Hashanah.
  • Yeah, I sure did.
  • One fun fact is that Rosh Hashanah means head of the year.
