Villians! dissemble no more! I admit the deed! tear up the planks! here, here! it is the beating of his hideous heart!
The narrator disposed of the old man's body in the bathtub so he can dismember him and the blood will go down the drain.
Police officers go to his house because neighbors reported a loud shriek coming from his house and go to search his house
The narrator could not handle the stress of killing someone, so he revealed himself to the police officers to be the killer of the old man.
