Dear Aunt Martha, You'll never believe it! Last night, a mob went to the lieutenant governor's house. They burned his books and papers, stole his money, and even took his sister and daughter's clothes and put them on for fun! I think this was a little overboard on the mobs part. I don't think they were justified in destroying the governor's property and messing with his daughter and sister's clothes. I honestly don't think this is going to help the cause in any way but make the governor angry. We must find a more efficient way to get our point across. Well, I thought I'd keep you up to date on the chaos!
At least I got to burn some papers and books and cause some mayhem in the town!
I've been told to let you know that you're being forced to resign.
What am I supposed to do now?
If they're going to keep the stamp act going then I say we get the production of their goods to stop and take back all that have been sent.
