  • Squealer isn't helping but Boxer is still going so we should too.
  • I WILL WORK HARDER!
  • The walls need to be thicker.
  • The joy of service and the dignity of labour...
  • Make sure the humans do not find out about our food shortage.
  • Did you here that they're going to increase the rations? 
  • NO
  • You must surrender your eggs to us
  • After the harsh winter, the animals try to rebuild the windmill. The humans claim it was destroyed because the walls were too thin but the animals believe it was Snowball's fault.
  • The hens' rations will be cut and anyone found giving them food will be killed.
  • During January, the food grew scarce, but Napoleon did his best to keep the humans from finding out.
  • Beats of England, Beasts of Ireland, Beasts of every land and clime...
  • In order to get food, Napoleon makes a contract to give 400 eggs a week, and makes Squealer tell the Hens.
  • By decree of Comrade Napoleon, Beasts of England has been abolished. It was a song of rebellion, but a rebellion there is not.
  • Because they refused, Napoleon punishes the hens and anyone who helps them. Some of the hens die from starvation but their deaths are covered up.
  • After the execution
  • I need to work harder to make things better.
  • During the song, Squealer says it is now forbidden to sing the song from now on. Minimus creates a new song which is sung every Sunday after the flag is raised.
