This is the first time Melinda see's the person that attacked her, Andy Evans, at school. She refers to him as IT and is mortified at his very presence. He winked at her as he was walking with a cheerleader. Melinda feels nauseous just seeing him and it's understable because Andy raped her and is a terrible person.
"Let me tell you about it" (Pg.198)
Art class was one of the best things that Melinda had in her life. It helped her express her feelings and document her growth in an unique way. Mr.Freeman also was a very good teacher that cared about Melinda and made sure she was ok on multiple occasions. This was the last day when Melinda finally told an adult about what happened to her and the last scene in the book.
