The Letter was definitely was my favorite text we did this week.
This week as a class we did research and read Persepolis and Funny in Farsi to learn about the Iranian revolution.
Now I know why they wear those veils.
As i did the homework that we were given for the assignment I thought about Persepolis.
It was my favorite of the activities or readings that we did because it was simple and to the point. It explained the problems of the Iranian people before and after the revolution. Like how other social classes were not allowed to be together with other social classes just because they are different. It showed the reasoning of the Iranian Revolution.
I didn't like the one we read after the letter it seemed too wordy and confusing for a graphic novel. There wasn't an entertaining story in my opinion. It still gave good information of the effects or the revolution like for example the veils that the Iranian women had to wear.
The web quest that we did near the beginning of the week helped us get informed about the Iranian revolution like why it occurred and the effects of it so that the readings would make more sense when we got to them.
In conclusion, I enjoyed all the readings and activities that we did this week but The veil was my least favorite.
