Storyboard Text

  • Hi my name is Gigi I am running some errands before work today. We are going to talk about my favorite subject. ECONOMICS!
  • Here in North Korea, there is a command economy. Everything is owned by the government. Not to mention, controlled by the government.
  • I am now in Los Cabos, Mexico and this police man told me a little bit about the market economy here.
  • We as people work with the government to keep our country strong.
  • STOP ONE: Coffee shop
  • I am back in Asia for a quick pit stop in Beijing, China. Here, there is a traditional economy. Everything is very usual and time-honored.
  • COMMAND ECONOMY: Resources are owned and controlled by the government.
  • Back in the United States because work starts in 45 minutes! Our very own country has a mixed economy and I'm here in Washington D.C where all the magic happens.
  • MARKET ECONOMY: Resources owned and controlled by people of the country.
  • Our mixed economy allows us as citizens to be involved with the governments decisions before they are decided.
  • TRADITIONAL ECONOMY: Goods and services are produced like they always have been.
  • MIXED ECONOMY: Combined elements of command and market economies.
  • UNITED STATES: MIXED ECONOMY
