As Bre falls deeper into depression she starts to neglect even more of her responsibilities and becomes even more distant. Some neglected responsibilities even involving Aubrey. Landon and Bre fight continuously and Landon is tired of her being irresponsible and her not being "present". Landon finally finds out about Bre getting fired and that along with more neglecting responsibilities from from Bre drives him to take Aubrey and leave. Not telling Bre where they are and only letting Bre have supervised calls with Aubrey.
Bre fall even deeper in her depression, shut out from her family and her child. Bre resorts to drugs but then Landon finds out. Landon tries to help Bre but the relationship is long and a divorce is filed.
Bre finally finds out where Landon and Aubrey are staying and makes an attempt to kidnap Aubrey. Landon threatens to call the police isf Bre doesn't bring her back but Aubrey expresses her anger towards her mother telling her she doesn't want to live with Bre so Bre makes the painful decision to bring Aubrey back. Landon then goes to court and gets full custody of Aubrey.
Bre having nothing left returns to drugs spending all her time in the world in her mind, hitting the lowest point in her depression.
Bre can't take the worlds realities anymore and decisdes to commit suicide. She drives to where Landon and Aubrey are staying in hopes to get a glimpse of hope that maybe there's something keft for her but they aren't there so dismayed she continues with her plan leaving a suicide note on their door before she leaves. When Landon finds the note he hurries to His and Bre's house but it's too late and she's already dead.
It's five years later and Aubrey finally decides to visit her mother's grave for the first time. Built up anger and sadness from the past, she decides to let go of it all. She forgives her mother for everything that happened and tells her all that has happened since and about her life.
