White Fang by Jack London
Theme Development #1
"He knew his two brothers and his two sisters very well. He had began to romp with them in a feeble, awkward way, and even to squabble."
Progress Report #3 Theme by Joshua Galecki
Competition In White Fang competition appears in it's most original way. In the book it means fighting for food, resources, and to live. White Fang, the main character, competes to survive throughout the whole book. White Fang started to learn the ways of competition from when he was just a pup, and therefore continues to learn in different ways as he grows.
In this moment of the story White Fang has just been born. He is beginning to learn how to compete by fighting with his brothers and sisters. Here he realized that if he wanted to get the most milk or be the most dominant he had to compete to do so.
