  • The British Need Money after French and Indian War
  • Okay
  • We need you to help pay us out of debt. We will be putting taxes on certain items to do so
  • The Acts (Laws)
  • Yes sir
  • To pay us back we will be taxing all printed paper used
  • Sons & Daughters of Liberty
  • We refuse to leave until there is a change made
  • Go home
  • The British went into debt after helping pay for war to keep the Americans safe during the French and Indian war. The British decides to tax the Americans in order to help get their money back.
  • Protests
  • One of the acts was the Stamp Act of 1765 when a new  tax was created. All printed peices of paper such as ship's papers, legal documents, licenses, newspapers, other publications, and even playing cards were taxed.
  • War Begins
  • The Sons and Daughters of liberty were against the British. To act against them, the Sons participated in riots and fights while the Daughters participated in protests and boycotts. 
  • The Declaration of Independence
  • Fine, so be it then. 
  • It was a political protest that took place in 1773. The Americans were angry at the British for imposing "taxation without representation" and dumped 342 chests of british tea into the ocean. 
  • SInce you wanna be unfair we poured your tea into the ocean. 
  • OUR TEA!
  • The American Revolution began in April of 1775 and lasted until 1783. Tensions between the British and Americans grew rapidly over the years which is the main cause of the American Revolution. 
  • The Declaration of Independence was signed July 4th, 1776. It is when the Americans decided to severe all political connections from Great Britain and gain their independence back. 
  • We have decided we want to be independent. From now on the Americans and British will no longer have a political connection
