Storyboard Text

  • So, Brock, what did you learn in school today?
  • Well, of course your goals should be smart!
  • For once I learned something really useful! We made S.M.A.R.T goals today.
  • No, not just "smart". Specific, Measurable, Aggressive and Timely. S.M.A.R.T.
  • A goal should be specific so you know exactly what you're aiming for.
  • It should be measurable so that you know when you get there.
  • An aggressive goal is one that gives you a challenge. It should be attainable but not too easy.
  • Your goal should be realistic. Making an impossible goal isn't smart in any sense.
  • It also needs to be timely. It needs to have an end date in the near future.
  • I think I get it! Let me give it a try...
  • My goal is to have the house clean including your room by our 6:30 dinnertime.
  • Did I say "my" goal? I meant YOURS.
  • I thought it was supposed to be realistic?
  • That's a great goal, Mom! Very S.M.A.R.T.!
