Johnny was a regular kid just out of high school. He was barely getting glimpse at the real world. He had just began to work a 9 to 5 job when his life changed forever.
One day, after coming home from his job, he noticed a letter from the government in his mailbox. The letter stated that Johnny had been drafted to the war and had to receive his training within a month to be deployed to Vietnam.
After telling his family about the letter, he packed his things and went on to receive his training for the war. The training was very tough on Johnny but he felt that he was prepared for the war. But he was very wrong.
After being assigned to his unit, he grew a strong bond with many of the soldiers, specially with Sgt. Gary. For the first few days, Sgt. Gary was helping out Johnny in the middle of combat. But Johnny later got the hang of it.
Johnny had gone nights without sleeping, worrying that he along with his unit could get ambushed at any time. A couple of days later, it actually happened. Johnny's unit got ambushed and 4 of his fellow soldiers died. Along with Sgt.Gary. Johnny was traumatized. He couldn't believe what had happened. The amount of gore he experienced was unbelievable.
Years passed until he finally returned home. He wa so glad that he was able to see his family again. Johnny had a horrible experience in Vietnam due to the many deaths and near death encounters he had. He needed therapy to help him recover from the horrible events that occured in the Vietnam war.
