  • In 1773 the British Parliament passed the tea act. The colonials were angry! There were public protests throughout the colonies for this inconvenience in American business. The slogan ''No Taxation without Representation!''
  • As a result of the taxation, Americans dressed up as Indians and hopped onto British boats holding tea and threw over 1 million dollars worth of tea in todays money off of the boat. This took courage and it also took loads of effort since the Americans loved tea, But they loved their country more and would do anything for it and so they did.
