  • Raphael
  • Raphael studied the works of Michelangelo and Leonardo Da Vinci. His paintings combined Christian and Classical styles. His most recognizable painting is Madonna and another is the school of athens.
  • My painting called The School Of Athens. This painting shows that I am a humanist. It shows that because the painting shows a portrait of very well Renaissance thinkers and other important Renaissance people. It includes Plato, Aristotle, Socrates and the Arab philosopher Averroes. He also included the faces of Michelangelo, Leonardo and himself. This showed that he had self-confidence in himself that he is a humanist.
  • 1509 Raphael finishes painting "The School Of Athens"
  • Humanism was an intellectual movement with studies of classical culture, hummanism focused on worldly subjects rather than on the religious issues that had occupied medieval thinkers. It focused on the here and now. I feel like Raphael definitely is a humanist. Raphael fits and meets all the requirements to be a humanist.

  • Michelangelo was a many-sided genius: Sculptor, engineer, painter, architect, and poet. He created marble into a masterpiece like pieta as a young child. He's created other masterpieces like the statue of David and the huge mural on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Rome.
  • Michelangelo
  • My painting of that huge mural on top of the Sistine Chapel in Rome shows that I am indeed a humanist. This shows that I am a humanist because the painting is very Renaissance like. It depicts the biblical history of the world, from the creation to the Flood. He painted this mural while laying on his back on a wooden platform suspended just a few inches just below the ceiling.
  • Michelangelo paints"The Mural on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel"
  • Humanism was an intellectual movement with studies of classical culture, hummanism focused on worldly subjects rather than on the religious issues that had occupied medieval thinkers. It focused on the here and now. Michelangelo is a humanist in many ways. He focused on the here and now. He created brilliant paintings for the people to view.
