Mummifying in Egypt was very important to the people.
The process takes around 70 days because of how precise it is to do.
Many tools were needed such as Palm wine, a hook, tree resin, canoptic jars, and oils herbs and other spices.
The people that mummify are embalmers who do the whole process to send the person to their afterlife.
First I insert a hook through the nose to remove part of the brain. After that I cut open a part of the body and remove the organs and store them into canopic jars. The heart was placed back in the body after. The body was then rinsed in spices and oil. The body was then placed in salt before being wrapped and put into the coffin.
People were mummified because their soul was left in their bodies. In the coffin the soul would come back reunite with the body. This was their life after death.
