Storyboard Text

  • you are probably the only Gorilla in the whole rain forest who doesn't eat fruit.
  • because according to my beliefs I am not supposed to eat fruit, it's one of my guidelines for life
  • one hot day in the tropical rain forest two gorillas were looking for something to eat
  •  you should learn to be more accepting of others beliefs, they may look different, act different, and eat different things, but they are still human like you.
  • And?!
  • The grey gorilla is angered because of the different foods that the other gorilla is eating
  • So what your saying is that even though most of us are bananaist's it is okay to be around and live in a community with junglist's
  • More than eighty countries have an official religion, yet almost 50% of the population does not practice the official religion
  • The grey gorilla makes a rude remark about the blue gorillas religion and beliefs.
  • I want to learn from my mistakes and make changes, can we be friends? i will even start to eat vegetables with you.
  • When Muslims in Egypt were polled about one in five of them stated that people who practiced a religion other than the Muslim religion are not free to practice their religion. However we in this jungle can change this by being understanding and accepting of other peoples beliefs.
  • A flamingo comes in to try and defuse the situation by teaching the gorilla about accepting other religions and their beliefs/guidelines.
  • I practice a different set of beliefs called junglism which doesn't allow me to eat fruits
  • The flamingo shares a statistic about how many areas have official religions yet the greater majority of the population in that area does not practice the official religion
  • Yeah, cultural diffusion accepting other peoples religions is the key to a functioning community
  • the flamingo shares another statistics about how there are many people who struggle to practice their own religion in their home country because the country has a main religion.
  • Sure, I would like to start over and try to learn more about each others religions.
