Hello everyone, let's talk about the disparities occuring in the US.
Disparities in healthcare are directly related to race, gender, and socioeconomic status.
The race of a person can have a great affect on their overall health. Some races have a higher chance of having a health depriving illness.
Socioeconomic status is another factor of disparity in health. People that have a lower status do not get the education and do not have the money to obtain better health
Race and socioeconomic status could also be linked. Some races have been stuck in low socioeconomic status for years, which definitely affects the type of health they have.
I was very surprised to read that race has an actual relation to the kind of health they have. This should not be the case, and I think there needs to be better government plans to educate and diagnose problems in communities with disparities in health because of race.
