ROCK IN ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Sediment | | \/ '
For sedimentary rock to form, the first step is sediment. You get that when any rock goes through weathering and erosion, which will take a LONG time...
Then, through cementation and compaction, the sediment turns into sedimentary rock.
There are 2 types of igneous rock. The first type, intrusive, is formed when magma inside the earth slowly cools. Extrusive igneous rock is formed when lava comes out of a volcano and cools quickly.
For metamorphic rock, when any rock goes through a lot of heat and pressure, it morphs, and when cooled it turns into metamorphic rock. When it gets heated, the pressure is able to morph it.
