today class we will be learning about types of fraction specificly mix and unproper fraction
what are mix and unproper fraction
an mix is when a fraction has a number in front of it, like a fraction and a whole.
like 1 3/4
when you need to put this in to a proper fraction into a inproper fraction but first i will explain what a improper fraction is
a improper fraction is when the numerator is more than the denomonateer like this 3/2
sometimes you need to turn them into each other for a problem
when your changing improper to a mixed fraction you do the you see how many times the denomunator can go into the denator like this 4/2 4÷2=2 so that equals 2 wholes if theres a remander add it on the numerator like this 7/4=1 3/4
and when your doing it the way around you times the whole number by the denomonator and add it to the numerator get it!
