I want to repeal of the tax, or king will face immunity!
Im here to collect the tax!
The Townshend Act of 1767
Forbid settlers from advancing beyond Appalaction Mts. This allowed England to control westward expansion. The expansion would be on British terms which most Indian liked the line. It ended up failing because there was no British police to keep control so colonist kept coming.
The Boston Massacre of March 5, 1770
Colonist were forced to to tax on paper goods which led to them buying paper goods with only a British stamp on it. This angered the colonist so Patrick Henry called for a repeal on the tax or the king would face immunity.
The Boston Tea Party of 1773
Charles Townshend created the Townshend Act which led to the Quartering Act. The Quartering Act meant that the British soldiers could knock on your door and stay in your home, you can refuse but you would get kicked out of your home and they can stay there.
The Intolerable Act of 1774
The Boston Massacre happened when a British man named Hugh White was being made fun of by a group of men. There ended up being 50 colonist and they kept harassing Hugh and throwing things at him. Other British Soldiers finally came to keep everything "in control". The soldiers were armed so the colonist taunted them to shoot. Eventually someone threw a rock at a soldier so they started to shoot. 5 colonist died including a free black man.
HAHAHA! look at those losers
The Sons of Liberty decided to dress up as Indians so that they wouldn't recognize who they were. They boarded 3 cargo ships full of tea. They threw over 342 chests full of tea but the British knew it was the colonist not the Indians. They were protesting because tea was their favorite thing to drink and the only way to buy it was from the East India Trading Company.
They reduced their self government autonomy, they have to quarter troops, they closed the port of Boston, and if you are charged of a crime then they are tried in England. This created a resistance in the colonies.
