Minerva comes to advise to Telemachus, to which he tells the entire town and suitors he's leaving to rescue his father, Odysseus, and they plot to kill him. Before they can, he escapes and goes in search of him for the rest of the novel. [focus on Odysseus]
Odysseus is weeping on Calypso's island. Calypso sends him home, but he has to build a raft. He builds one but Neptune throws a storm his direction and its destroyed. He then has to swim for two days to get to the Phaecian coast, where he meets Nasica, the King's daughter. He starts to tell his long ass story.
