Attention students we are gonna talk about the different kind of waves today.
This wave right here is called a transverse wave. The reason it I called a transverse wave is because it goes up and down.
But Waves are rhythmic disturbances that carry energy without out matter so their are 2 different types of waves and they are Mechanical and electromagnetic waves.
The parts of the wave are the trough and that is the bottom of the wave, the crest is the top of the wave, the wavelength is is the length between the waves, and the amplitude is the height of the wave.
The electromagnetic wave is similar and the same to the transverse wave because it has the same parts as it does. The compressional wave is a wave that has tiny particles in the wave pushed together. The parts of the compressional wave are the wavelength, the rarefaction, and the compression.
There are many different types of waves there are radio waves those are how you here things on radios and tv's. There are X-rays they penetrate your skin. And there are infrared waves make everything red.
