- The Phoenix Riders pick Emika Chen
- After a failure of a hunt in the city, Emika Chen goes back to her apartment. As she watches the Open Ceremony of Warcross, she gets an idea to try to hack into the game and she "might be able to steal Sudden Death" and "could sell it" for money.

- Goodbye Emika!
- After hacking into the game, Emika gets a call from HIdeo Tanaka, the creator of Warcross. He invites her to go to Tokyo to meet him. She
- Chapter 25
- Just as Emika lands in Tokyo, Hideo tells her that he has entered her to be in the Wardraft. The announcer begins to pick the players for each team, the name he anounces is "Emika Chen!" As the first pick in draft by the Phoenix Riders.
- Chapter 29
- My plan was to stop Hideo.
- Hideo invites Emika to his house. They then begin to build a relationship.
- Goodbye Hideo!
- After the second game, everyone is questioning Emika and her about the game and her relationship with Hideo. Then Zero threatens Emika and explodes the dorms the team lives in."The public explanation was a faulty gas line."
- Emika hacks her way into the championship game, trying to stop Zero. She defeats Zero and is able to win the championship for the Phoenix Riders. But then Zero explains to Emika that he plan "was to stop Hideo."
