  • Teiresias, it is a sorry thing when a wise sells his wisdom, lets out his words for hire!
  • Only remember I will not pay you for them!
  • Whatever you say will not change my will... the time is not far when you shall pay back corpse for corpse.
  • Lead me away . I have been rash and foolsih. I have killed my son and my wife.
  • In this scene it shows that Creon is being hard headed when given information on the prophet and ignores his advice to save himself which fits the theme of "Stubbornness has its consequences."
  • I don't know if I can climb Mount Everest for my wife who didn't get this opportunity with me but I have to try!
  • In this scene it shows the stubbornness of Creon by accusing Teiresias of lying for money but the only response Creon gets is a warning about his fate which he is too absent minded to listen.
  • I'm so tired and I'm running low on food but I have to keep going its what she would've wanted!
  • In this scene it shows the death of Creon's son and Creon accepting the fate that was determined and realizing that he was a fool for not taking the warning which fits the theme of "stubbornness has its consequences."
  • YES! I did it! I feel like she knows that I made the trip for us and she pushed me through it all!Im glad did it for her!
  • This scene shows the doubt the man has for completing the trip up the mountain for his wife who died but hes determined like Antigone was to have her lost brother buried.
  • This scene shows that like Antigone this man has struggles along the way to his goals but his determination takes over so he decides to keep going.
  • This last scene shows the reward of the man completing the trip and just like Antigone both of their goals were met because their determination got them to their destinations. Which falls under the theme of "Determination is always the key to success."
