When I was a high school student, I had the most amazing English teachers. They offered me support and were my biggest reason for wanting to go to school every day. I feel that I learned the most valuable information when I was in high school.
After I graduated high school, I immiediately began working for the same school district I graduated from. First, I was an instructional aide, then I became the resident substitute teacher at Jurupa Valley High School. My jobs here validated my high school dreams of becoming an English teacher, and I thus prepared to become prepared for an open teaching position.
Before I knew it, I had my very own classroom! I was excited and terrified all at the same time. My love for my job grew every single day, despite the many struggles I faced. Each and every day, I learned more and more about myself as a teacher, and what my students needed of me.
