  • 1921 Washington Conference: USA, Britain, France and Japan agreed to limit their navies, in total 9 nations attended (and made the same agreement). The USSR was not invited!
  • 1922 Rapallo Treaty: The USSR and Germany re-establish diplomatic relations. They also - Formed a union against Poland as it had gained both Soviet and German Territory. - Had a secret military alliance which allowed Germany to test their equipment on Soviet territory bypassing the Treaty Of Versailles
  • The Dawes Plan Of 1924: Where the US Received $2.6 billion in war loan repayment from the Alllies and then loaned $2.5 Billion to Germany who then payed $2.0 Billion in war reparations from the allies.
  • 1925 Locarno Treaties: Germany Accepted its western borders as of the treaty of versailles, the was greeted by great enthusiasm especially by the French, also part of the pact was that if any one of the nations attack another the other two would act as guarantors and defend the nation under attack.
  • 1928 The Kellog-Briand Pact: 65 nations agreed not to use force to settle disputes. This is also known as the pact of paris.At the time people were cheering in the streets as they thought that it brought them closer to a true peace however there was nothing in the treaty about peace or what would happen in the case of a declaration of war!
  • 1929 Young Plan: The young plan reduced Germany's war reparations payments. After the wall street crash of 1929 america had to recall the credit from Europe that made the young plan possible. However the plan was officially adopted in 1930 at a second Hague Conference.
