Storyboard Text

  • We had a very happy childhood. I had a beautiful upbringing with lots of family and laughter. There were fun vacations and a house full of music.
  • The teen years brought struggles with migraines and chronic pain. This continued throughout my twenties with many surgeries, depression, and the beginning of a long battle with addiction.
  • Later into my twenties me and my family were faced with grief like we had never experienced before. My grandparents passed with in days of each other unexpectedly.
  • Eventually the disease of addiction took me down a path of mental, physical, and most of all spiritual desolation.
  • There came a time when I had to decide to either do something about my problem or die. I went to treatment ,a recovery house, and am now in recovery.
  • It has been a few years now and there is still physical pain, and life still shows up. The beautiful thing now is that I can have peace in all struggles. I couldn't have done that without recovery. God is good.
