  • The slaves should be freed.
  • This event took place in Washington, D.C sometime following the Civil War.
  • None of us should be enslaved and considered to be property.
  • Three states didn't ratifie until the second half of the 20th century: Delaware on Feburay 12, 1901, Kentucky on March 18, 1976,and Mississippi on March 16, 1995.
  • Slavery should be abolished.
  • The House failed to pass the amendment on Feburay 27, but then the following day it was accepted on a vote of 133 to 65.
