Storyboard Text

  • Conflict
  • Exposition
  • Rising Action
  • The conflict is that the land that belonged to Georg was taken away by the government and was then given to Ulrich. Georg continues to poach on the land because he doesn't agree that it should belong to Ulrich.
  • Climax
  • Could you reach the flask if I threw it over to you?
  • Ulrich von Gradwitz is patrolling the forest for hunters and his enemy, Georg Znaeym. The two are involved in an ongoing family feud.
  • Falling Action
  • Ulrich and Georg come face to face. "Each had a rifle in his hand, each had hate in his heart and murder uppermost in his mind." They did not shoot each other because they could not murder a neighbor in cold blood.
  • Resolution
  • A big birch tree comes crashing down, trapping both men and harming them. This makes Ulrich reconsider the feud and he offers Georg a drink of his wine which symbolizes peace and the fact that he is willing to make amends.
  • Georg and Ulrich agree to become friends and to end the feud when their men come to rescue them. They scream for help together in an attempt to be heard by their men.
  • Help!!!
  • The two men realize that help is not on the way. Instead, wolves are approaching.
