Well, hello there boy. My men and I have been able to drive the Confederate army back and they are now retreating. I have received a message from Lee stating that he was ready to admit defeat.
Well hello there General Grant! I am from the future! What seems to be going on?
The Battle of Appomattox was known as the last engagement the Confederate and Union army had. I decided to travel back in time and meet General Ulysses S. Grant.
As I wandered around, watching artillery fire exploding everywhere I went, I managed to get up to where General Grant and his men were.
On April 9th, 1865, General Grant and his Union army had followed Lee, and both leaders of both sides met at the Appomattox Court House where Lee had asked for Grant's Surrender terms.
