Pay the taxes for those playing cards and I'll give you stamps.
We don't want to pay for stamps! That isn't fair!
Pay the taxes for that paint! While you're at it pay for any lead, tea, g.ass, and paper!
YOU KILLED MY FRIENDS!!!!
Dump the crates of tea leaves! Show the British they can't tax us!
The stamp act leads to revolution because the Colonists showed they weren't pleased with England by burning their stamped papers. They were showing their displeasure over ten years before the Declaration of Independence and their anger would turn into separating from England.
Boston "Tea Party"
The Townshend Acts contributed to the American Revolution because taxes made the Colonists angry. They thought it was unfair to be taxed without representation in British Parliament. By not being represented in the British government, this pushed the Colonists to have their own government.
First Continental Congress
Welcome to Continental Congress.
The American Revolution was in part caused by the Boston Massacre. Even though it wasn't a massacre, five Colonists died which provoked their anger. If the British were going to kill Colonists, it would lead to a war where many people would die.
Second Continental Congress
George Washington, you will lead the Continental Army
The Boston "Tea Party" is important to the events leading to the American Revolution because it showed that Colonists could fight. By dumping barrels and crates of tea into the harbor, it sent the message to the British that the Colonists were done with their taxes.
The First Continental Congress led to the American Revolution because the Colonists began to realize that they could govern themselves and take matters into their own hands by meeting up. This made the thought of separating from England easier because the Colonists would know that they could control themselves.
The Second Continental Congress lead to the American Revolution because without George Washington being selected to lead the Colonists in war, the advice given to the Continental Army would have been different. This meaning that they may have lost the war against England.
